A fine example of Spanish Fir uncommon in cultivation. The tree displays perfect form and is a dominant specimen in the Gardens. Abies pinsapo is also known as the Spanish fir as this particular variety is only found in the wild in a small region of mountainous mainland Spain. While it is not under immediate threat of extinction, it is rare and its natural habitat is a protected nature reserve.
