Outstanding example of species

A very attractive tree with dark purple foliage. The tree is almost of perfect form and is in excellent condition. This specimen is the best example of this cultivar known in cultivation. Acer platanoides is native to eastern and central Europe, and southwest Asia.
Located near the 'Gong' in the Upper Garden.
