Rare or localised Acacia decora is found in Qld, NSW and Victoria. This stand is a disjunct community growing on a disused roadside 2.2km from Thoona. The population is sparsely spread but there is evidence of regeneration. The group of this rare acacia possibly presents the best area in which to conserve the species. These trees are smaller and bushier than the Bungeet stand. The site is at higher altitude (200m) , rocky and facing north-west. Eucalypts form the upper storey and are also regenerating.
