Outstanding example of species.

This species occurs from southern Victoria through NSW to Fraser Island in Queensland, often in areas where rainforest interfaces with moist open forest. It is rare in cultivation in Victoria and the only other known examples are 13 trees in the Royal Botanic Gardens.
