Six trees which occur in a unique location and so provide a contribution to the landscape.
An outstanding row of Sugar Gums (Eucalyptus cladocalyx) lining the east side of the highway near the Murray River. The planting extends over 3 blocks comprising 6, 2and 9 trees. The finest trees are the 6 growing on a sandy ridge at the northern end (measured tree is the most northerly specimen). These trees were reportedly planted by school children in the early 1900's as an avenue, but the trees on the western side were removed as part of road widening. Their landscape value is highlighted by the trees' dense and large spreading canopies.
The trees are located on the Murray Valley Highway, Wood Wood, north of Swan Hill.
