A tree outstanding for its large height, trunk circumference or canopy spread.

Growing in a raised garden in this linear park, this tree has had significant limb drop over the past few years. At present, the remaining structure is quite sound although some signs of stress are evident. Thespecies shows high tolerance to Dutch Elm disease and is being used for breeding programs.

It is located in the north-west corner of Alma Park between the railway line and church.

The tree has been removed 18/05/2012.
