Statement of Significance

Rare or localised

A small dense stand of this rare species, endemic to Victoria, and restricted mainly to the Yarra Valley. It grows up to 20 metres in height and has fibrous bark . This stand is protected in the roadside reserve, with most trees in good condition and a number of young trees in the understorey. The Council has erected a sign noting the species and its rarity.
These 50 trees are located in a roadside reserve 500m west of Traralgon-Maffra Road.
