Statement of Significance

Emerald Creek is of regional significance due to its visual quality and ecological importance. A number of sites have been assessed as having high quality vegetation and this area is therefore considered botanically significant. As well, it is considered to be a valuable corridor for wildlife movement from Silvan-Olinda Forest southeast to Woori Yallock Creek.

LOCATION AND BOUNDARIES:

A strip of land along the Emerald Creek, extending from Seamers Bridge downstream 3.2 km to Woori Yallock Creek.
