Statement of Significance

A wide tree and bush covered foreshore, including the Beleurah Hill Golf Links which go down to the foreshore. The foreshore timber is tea-tree, sheoak and banksia, with dense underflora of shrubs. Except for a pea flowering exotic and the odd blackberry and pines, the area generally is free from weeds and exotics. The clean and wide beaches are dotted between the little headlands and points, and well cared for and colourful bathing boxes are just off the beach in the tree line. Foreshore works at the entrance of Tanti Creek and the boat harbour at Schnapper Point are well constructed of basalt and provide a pleasing artifact (or man-made intrusion). There are some fine banksias just above the sandy beaches.
