Statement of Significance

Land surface slopes southward towards the coastline, and is dissected by southward flowing streams. The area is almost completely denuded of trees, and is now a grassland. Evidence indicates that this area originally carried Eucalypt forest with a grassy floor, and Melaleuca scrub or grass in depressions formed by streams. Fine panoramic views of Bass Strait and Western Port Bay.
