Church Statement of Significance: A major group by the Bendigo architects Vahland & Getzschmann, comprising a Romanesque Sunday School of 1865 and a very distinctive church of 1877 with exterior polychrome detailing. The interior of the church, which focuses upon a pulpit, a choir gallery and a delightful organ by Alfred Fuller of Kew, is distinguished by lofty aisles, cast iron columns and a very shallow clerestory, which conveys the effect of a hall church in the German tradition.

Organ Statement of Significance:A two-manual organ of 15 stops built in 1882 by Alfred Fuller, of Kew, and enlarged in 1904 by B C Pentreath, of Bendigo, who provided new slider windchests and several additional stops. The organ is well-sited on a large gallery and has a particularly attractive painted case with diapered facade pipes. The hydraulic blowing engine survives in situ in a cupboard opening off the rear porch. The instrument is one of Fuller's most outstanding surviving works and is an instrument of considerable tonal distinction.
