Statement of Significance

Built in 1864-66 on early traditional plan in locally handmade bricks with hipped iron roof extending over wide front verandah and rooms at each end, also over small rooms at rear. Separate rear building probably contemporary . Original joinery evident in octagonal verandah posts and caps and six paned window sashes. Only some of the serious settlement cracks in the brick work have been repaired. Modern alterations noted.
