How is it significant? Temple Court is significant for historic reasons at a Local level.
Why is it significant? Temple Court, a red brick asymmetric Italianate villa built in 1894 by the Cochrane family, is historically significant as the long-time residence of a locally important family of builders who constructed many of the region's buildings. The house is still situated on a generous block with pastures, fruit trees, vegetable beds and other plantings - a reminder of the farm established by the Cochranes. Temple Court is one of a few nineteenth-century houses remaining in Wodonga. The property represents an unusual survivor of a farming complex within what is now an industrial area.
