Statement of Significance

A cement rendered brick bond store probably built in mid 1844 by Turnbull, Orr & Co., the first merchants at Port Albert and used as a bond store until the end of 1850. Later used as a private residence. It is one of the oldest surviving structures in this historic Gipplsland seaport, with indelible associations with the foundation years of settlement in Gippsland.
