Statement of Significance

The Warrnambool Court House was erected in 1870-71 by the Public Works Department and comprised a simple gable structure flanked by offices. In 1889-90 additions were made to the front of the building which substantially altered its appearance. These additions are typical of Public Works design undertaken in the 1890s.
