Statement of Significance

Milawa Cooperative Dairy Company Limited is historically important as one of the first local cooperatives built during the growth years of the factory based dairy industry. The current building (1915), although architecturally insignificant, is a typical medium sized efficiently designed dairy industry building and gains meaning from the fact that it is one of the few such buildings in the state which is currently being used for dairy processing, again on a local scale.
