Statement of Significance

A primitive, single storey, stone building, with interesting stone roofed cellar. It was probably constructed before 1853.
The Berramongo vineyard was of great importance to the colonial winemaking industry in the 1840s and 50s .The house is substantially intact, although there is evidence of two distinct additions, one in the mid, and one at the turn of the 19th century.
The classification includes the ruins of the sandstone buildings.
