Statement of Significance

Stombuco, an Italian architect, sculptor, builder and stonemason, designed and built Carrick at Kyneton in 1859, for his own residence, and himself carved the bluestone, which includes some very fine door and window surrounds. Also of note is the elegant cast iron verandah.
The timber addition to the rear of the house is not included.
