Statement of Significance

A handsome church originally of 1856-60 by the distinctive Kyneton architect William Douglas, but extended later and with a west tower of 1927-8 by Gawler & Drummond. The exterior is of interest for its wide buttressed nave, flanked by corner pinnacles, and a tall western tower with elongated belfry stage. The interior has been substantially altered, as has the organ acquired from Old St Paul's Church, Swanston Street.
