A farm property which survives in essentially the form in which it was developed from the 1850s by the Reverend William Hall, on land acquired as the pre-emptive right block on the Glenalbyn squatting run in 1860-64, and which has remained in the hands of his descendants ever since. The property includes a homestead, of which the earliest portion of 1860 antedates the acquisition of freehold title, dams formed by Hall on the Kingower Creek, paddock boundaries with hawthorn hedges, a quantity of native trees dating from Hall's time, and traces of the puddling machines of alluvial gold miners with whom Hall had a supportive relationship. The striking contrast of the fertile ground to the surrounding scrub remains almost as distinct today as it was in the early years of Hall's occupancy.
