Statement of Significance

Church Statement of Significance: A substantial Luthern church in rudimentary Early English style, constructed in 1910-11 of local limestone. The building contains an intact pipe organ built in 1883.

Organ Statement of Significance: A two-manual organ of 10 stops built in 1886 by Alfred Fuller for the Congregational Church, South Melbourne and moved to its present location in 1970. The instrument remains largely intact and retains its attractive painted case, with diapered facade pipes, pipework, tonal scheme, mechanical action and console fittings and is one of the few surviving examples of its builder's work which has not sustained substantial alterations.
