A bluestone church built from 1864-66 designed by William Wardell and supervised by J B Denny, comprising a five-bay clerestoried nave, chancel, side chapels and sacristy. The west front includes a quadruple lancet window surmounted by a double bellcote (symbolic of the double dedication), with a triple lancet window at the east end containing glass by Ferguson & Urie. A distinctive building notable for the severity of its design and the avoidance of ornamentation.
