Statement of Significance

A two-manual organ of 10 stops built in 1886 by the Brunswick amateur organbuilder Alfred Crook for his residence and installed at its present location in 1971 following a number of earlier moves. The instrument, which is the only known exmple of its builder's work, has an attractive painted case with diapered facade pipes and retains its original action and pipework, although minor changes have been made to the tonal shceme.
