Statement of Significance

Two-storey mansion with single-storey wings built of bluestone with quoins, window architraves, and parapet (from which cornice has been removed) of dressed freestone, central stone porch with paired columns and timber veranda (now lacking its decorative detail) across front and around sides. Built in 1859 for pastoralist John Calvert, architect J.L. Shaw; since 1927 part of Morongo Presbyterian Girls College; alterations and additions since that date are excluded.
