Statement of Significance

A drinking fountain of 1901 in polished granite, and of an unusually bold and abstract design consisting of a slightly battered cylinder set on an annular guttered base and surmounted by a slightly narrower drum with three arched openings into the fountain itself, and a small hemispherical cupola, the whole effect being elegant and sensitive.
