Statement of Significance

File note 20/09/2012:
Following the Education Act of 1872 and the amalgamation of the Anglican and Presbyterian Common Schools in 1873, construction of this building was started and then completed in 1874 at a cost of £3,000. Designed by architects of the Education Department for 250 pupils, it served as a model school. (Buninyong & District Historical Society)
