Railway bridge, Navigators, is a single span bridge erected in 1860, it is believed, over the track North Geelong to Warrenheip Railway line. The depressed arched structure has battered piers to both sides of the arch and additional piers to close the abutments. The structure is faced with rusticated masonry with drafted edges. The parapet has a two stage string course and the voussoirs, impost and plinth are features.
This bluestone bridge is of note for its historical associations with the laying of this railway line, as a representative example of a single arch masonry bridge over a single track line and for the detailing and stonemasonry of the bridge itself. The bluestone stonemasonry is distinctive and notable in terms of design, exemplified by the depressed arch, impost, plinth and two stage string course and in execution, the drafted edges and arrangement of vertical joints being distinctive.
The bridge is understood to be in good condition and is intact.
