Statement of Significance

A three-bay bluestone Gothic church of 1861 believed to have been designed by Patrick Scanlan and to be one of his few surviving works. The 'west' end has a gabled. bluestone porch with diagonal buttresses and pointed arched door and hooded windows. There is a circular 'vent' above. Angled buttresses and the traceried hooded windows characterize the structure. Construction is in random coursed masonry with slate roofs.
