The Box Hill Primary School (1919), designed by the Public Works Department architect , S C Brittingham, is of local historical and architectural significance as a well developed and characteristic example of an "Edwardian Parapet Entrance" school. The school has played an important educational role in the history of Box Hill and is a prominent landmark. The Box Hill Sloyd Room (c 1932) is of State architectural and historical significance as a rare surviving example of the building type. Classified: 02/10/1995
File Note: Sloyd Room destroyed by fire July 1996. The school building was razed and redeveloped in the late 1990s.
