Statement of Significance
A unique building of unusual design with many distinctive features worthy of attention, such as its picturesque form, elaborate stucco panels, richly decorated cornice with "corbelled" arcades, a tower (and crescent moon pinnacle) suggestive of 13-16 century Persian tombs, an interior with a curved counter under a straight screen of arches, and delicate stained glass roundels featuring different birds treated in a naturalistic manner. The window openings are a special feature of the building, being cusped around their head.
