Statement of Significance

A substantial residence designed by and built about 1889 for J T Kelleher, an architect with the Public Works Department, which includes Moresque hall archways, mosaic encaustic floor tiles, intact marble, plaster and tiled fireplaces and numerous stained glass panels and plasterwork mouldings depicting Australian flora and fauna. Timber rear extension not included in the classification.
