Statement of Significance

A small brick building of 1856-8, described as a schoolroom of "some architectural pretensions", which appears to have also functioned as a Roman Catholic chapel and meeting hall, a combination favoured by the church for financial reasons. The wings or transepts are believed to date from the 1860s. The porch has been rebuilt.
