Statement of Significance

Xavier College Chapel including South Wing, West Wing and Great Hall
Statement of Significance. One of the most formal classicising Baroque church designs in Victoria, with a giant order Roman Ionic portico, vestigial west towers and a dominant dome and drum over the crossing. The chapel was built in 1927-1934 to a design of considerable quality by Schreiber and Jorgensen.
