Statement of Significance

Built in 1890 for the owner/occupier Alfred Turner, civil servant, this single storey, slate roofed and rendered brick residence, formerly called Wangaru has a large verandah with attractive cast iron trim and the original floor tiles are in good condition. Internally the marble fireplaces, joinery, ornamental archways and plasterwork are still in their original condition.
