What is significant?
Christ Church of England, comprising the church designed by HE Tollhurst and constructed by J O'Donnell in 1900, at 61 South Gippsland Highway, Tooradin.

How is it significant?
Christ Church of England is of local historic and social significance to the City of Casey.

Why is it significant?
Historically and socially, it is significant as the oldest public building in Tooradin and illustrates the early development of the township. It is now the only surviving place of worship in Tooradin and has strong associations with the local community as a meeting place that has played an important role in the development of Tooradin for over 100 years. (AHC criteria A4, D2 and G1)
