Why is it significant?
'Perry Cottage' is significant as a rare surviving example of an early twentieth century house in Pearcedale, which demonstrates the second stage in the development of the township following the subdivision of the Langwarrin Estate. (AHC criteria A4 and B2)
Aesthetically, 'Perry Cottage' is significant as a good example of a small late Victorian/Federation double fronted weatherboard cottage. It has a relatively high degree of external integrity for its age. (AHC criterion E1)
