What is significant?

'Tandderwen', comprising the house constructed c.1896, at 369 Heatherton Road, Narre Warren North.

How is it significant?

'Tandderwen' is of local historic significance to the City of Casey.

Why is it significant?

Historically, it is significant for its strong associations with the Jones family, who were among the pioneers of the orchard industry in this area and is one of a small number of surviving nineteenth century orchadists houses in this area. (AHC criteria A4, D2 and H1)
