The Edgars Creek Reserve Precinct, North Coburg is of local historic significance to the City of Moreland.

Why is it significant?
The Edgars Creek Reserve is of local historic significance for its early associations with the indigenous Woiworung people, and later with farming which, post-colonisation, was the lifeblood of Coburg North. The banks of Edgars Creek were also utilised for market gardens in the late 19th and early 20th century. The precinct is Coburg's most important recreation reserve east of the Merri Creek, servicing Coburg North and the Housing Commission of Victoria's Newlands Estate. The reserve is landscaped with grass and natives, which were planted relatively recently.
