Statement of Significance

Coppin Masonic Lodge is of local architectural significance and local historical interest. Historically, the building's apparent re-use of parts of the 1870s United Free Methodist Church adds to its interest. Architecturally, the building is an elegant 1920s composition of classical elements which makes a positive contribution to a varied streetscape. The building is associated with prolific architect Charels R Heath.
