Statement of Significance
7 Hopetoun Avenue, Brunswick West, is of local historical
andarchitectural Significance. The timber house is one of only a
fewremaining from the Brunswick Estate, which was developed as part of
thefirst metropolitan Closer Settlement scheme. Architecturally, it is
anintact example of a relatively simple and unadorned timber cottage
