The Coburg West Primary School at 185-187 Reynard Street, Coburg, comprising only the buildings constructed in 1916-17 and 1927 fronting Reynard Street. The remainder of the school grounds are not significant.

How is it significant?
The Coburg West Primary School at 185-187 Reynard Street, Coburg is of local historic and aesthetic interest to the City of Moreland.

Why is it significant?
Of historic significance, for its association with the development of Coburg. Also, for its use as a training college, particularly for rural students and student teachers, in the mid-20th century. (AHC Criterion A.4)

Of aesthetic significance, as a good example of a substantial late Edwardian (early inter-war) primary school in the City of Moreland. (AHC Criterion E.1)
