Why is it significant?
Of historic significance, as electricity infrastructure which demonstrates the early use and methods of supply of electricity in Brunswick by independent and, later, state agencies. (AHC Criteria A.4 & B.2)

Of aesthetic significance, as a good and intact representative example of an interwar industrial building with fine architectural detailing. (AHC Criterion E.1)
