What is significant? How is it significant? Why is it significant? The Hoffman and Hunter Streets Precinct is of local architectural significance for the 19th century houses on the north side of Hunter street, which constitute some of the earliest 19th century residential development in the west of Brunswick. Some notable architectural styles include brick terraces and small Edwardian brick and block-fronted timber villas, in addition to the substantially intact Inter-War Bungalows. The most characteristic buildings of the precinct are all single-storey with a mix of timber and brick construction. Non-Contributory properties include: Hoffman Street: 1A.
