What is significant?
The early 20th century bridge and the site to a radius of 20 metres.

How is it significant?
The bridge is historically and aesthetically significant to the Shire of Nillumbik.

Why is it significant?
The bridge is historically significant as the smallest surviving timber trestle bridge in the Shire of Nillumbik and as a rare surviving example, in the Shire, of what was the most common type of road bridge in Victoria during the 19th and early 20th centuries (Criterion B). Aesthetically because the bridge is significant in the streetscape (Criterion E).
