What is significant?

The Grandstand at Benalla Showgrounds, which was constructed in 1913, is a timber-framed grandstand with distinguishing curved roof to the seating section, and half-curved roof over the clubrooms at the rear. It is divided into seven bays formed by chamfered timber posts and queen post trusses. Each bay has shingled and corrugated iron panels with a timber and cast iron lace frieze.
