C Listed - Local Significance

The house at 14 River parade is aesthetically significant at a LOCAL level. Although relocated to this site, it still demonstrates original design qualities of the Late Federation style. These qualities include the dominant, broken-back hipped roof form, return verandah and a minor gable that projects towards the street frontage. Other intact or appropriate qualities include the galvanised corrugated iron roof cladding, horizontal weatherboard wall cladding, unpainted brick and multi-corbelled chimney, timber framed double hung windows and central doorway, turned timber verandah columns, decorative arched timber fretwork valance, roof ridge ornaments and the decorative gable infill (ventilator, battening and panelling).

Overall, the house at 14 River Parade is of LOCAL significance.
