Statement of Significance

The Mornington Baths site is of local historical, social and archaeological significance. Established in the late 1870's, it reflects the recreational utilisation of the area as a seaside resort. Tha baths are of archaeological significance for their potential to produce artefacts relating to the physical form and use of the complex over a 100 year period.
