The former Milford Hall & School, constructed in 1938, at Milford Hall Road, Milford.
Why is it Significant?
The former Milford Hall & School is of local historic and social significance to the district of Milford.
Historically, it is of interest as one of the last examples of a small community building that was specifically built to serve the dual roles of a school and public hall. (AHC criteria - A.4, B.2 and D.2) Socially, as the only public building in the Milford district, it is a focal part of the identity of the local area and has played a significant role in the re-building and development of the local community after the devastating bushfires of 1938. (AHC criterion - G.1)
