Why is it significant?
Aesthetically, it is an example of a late interwar church, which illustrates how the traditional Gothic style was simplified and decorative detail reduced to a minimum. This is demonstrated by the windows, which have traditional diamond glazing, but are rectangular in shape, while the only concession to decoration is the simple rendered plaque and cross in the gable end, and the rendered ring beam, which is the only relief to the brick walls.
