The house, constructed c.1915, at 9 Victoria Street, Korumburra is significant. It is a Federation timber bungalow with a hipped, almost pyramidal roof with gablets that extends to form a return verandah between projecting gables to the front and side. The verandah has turned posts and a ladder frieze with brackets. Typical of the style, a gablet above an angled bay window set intothe corner of the verandah provides a strong diagonal emphasis. There are two tall corbelled brick chimneys with terracotta pots.

It is significant as a fine and well-detailed example of a Federation timber bungalow. The hipped, almost pyramidal roof with gablets that extends to form a return verandah between projecting gables to the front and side and the gablet above an angled bay window set into the corner of the verandah that provides a strong diagonal emphasis are all hallmarks of this style.
